Why I built CrowSpeak

Most language apps are good at keeping you busy, but they rarely get you using the language the way real speakers do. As a linguist, and as someone who has learned languages by living in them, I wanted a platform that gets learners reading, listening, speaking, and writing with real language, every day.

For my master's thesis, I studied pedagogy and usability in language-learning apps, and CrowSpeak puts that research into practice. It's built around authentic input, real output, and consistency: real practice for real language. I designed and built CrowSpeak myself.

How it works

CrowSpeak gives you a daily quest. Find something real in your target language — an article, a video, a podcast, a song — then respond to it in writing or out loud. Ten minutes a day. It works for Spanish, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic, Portuguese, German, Korean, and almost any language you can find content in online.
